Gage is Lazy!

Dad bought Gage his own Lazy Boy so he can sit and relax a little! Ha!! He loves climbing in, out, and around the chair. He does occasionally sit in the chair to watch Mickey Mouse, then he's back to climbing around.
The couch is pretty happy, though, because he's not jumping on it quite as often!

Gymnastics Fun

Gage started attending a "Tiny Tumblers" class at Bailies Gymnastics and is enjoying every second of it. He has started jumping around on the couch and loves being swung around by dad, so it seemed like the perfect thing right now so he can get his Monkey Wiggles out in a constructive manner.
His favorite parts are doing the forward rolls and swinging around on the bar. He even does his forward rolls at home; he's got the technique down pat!!
He no longer has to climb through the chairs and get himself jammed and crammed in as many places as he can.

Like father, like son

Gage's First Year

Gage's favorite tv show to watch is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He loves Mickey Mouse toys, books, and pictures. When he hears the "Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse" start, he begins to dance and smile and is glued to the tv! You will also get to see him spend some time with Abbie, his dog. He loves to say Abbie's name, play with Abbie, give Abbie kisses, and most of all, feed Abbie his food! Gage loves to push everything around the house: books, papers, toys, and even his high chair! Gage celebrated his first Fourth of July by sleeping through fireworks! He did play with some sparklers the day after, but he wasn't too crazy about them. I think he knew he could be burned, hopefully he keeps that knowledge for the future!! Gage celebrated his first birthday on July 6. He went to a splash park and ran through the water, unfortunately it was windy and rained while we were at the park. But Gage still had the pleasure of opening his presents--his favorite being his new lap top computer he has been eyeing for some time now. Gage got his very own cake and loved smashing it and throwing the cake everywhere!! Thank goodness his mom decided to have the party at the park because the cleanup would not have been fun. There would have been cake and frosting everywhere--sick dogs, too, because they would have had to help clean up!! So many changes occured this first and wonderful year of Gage's life. His parents are very happy and lucky to have such a wonderful and amazing child! His first week was a rough one, with having to be in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for that week. However, he has recovered well and is very active, happy, and always smiling. It was fun to see him grow up his first year and see him go from laying around, to rolling, to crawling, to getting close to walking on his own. He is saying Momma, Dadda, kitty, and his mom's favorite--Abbie. He loves his school, he loves his pets, and he loves his family and friends and looks forward to continue to learn so many new things. Dance Away Gage!!

Birthday Cake Flying Fun!!

Gage received his own cake on his birthday that he got to play and eat all by himself! He loves sweet things and has loved frosting since he was three months old. It was enjoyable and lots of laughs to see him play with his cake and see it fly every which way and he justs laughs!!

Gage loves to eat and talk in his high chair; yet, he loves most of all that the dogs are right there with him when he is eating. He is really good at sharing his food with the dogs, and Abbie is extra lucky because she is able to easily reach Gage's giving hands, clean them up, and wait for the next piece of food. Gage believes in "one for you, one for me."

Gage has two dogs, Abbie and Buddy. Abbie loves Gage and is so sweet and gentle with him. Gage loves petting Abbie, giving her hugs and kisses, climbing all over her, feeding her, and playing fetch with her. Abbie drops the ball or bone in his lap and Gage hands it back to her. Gage loves Abbie so much and smiles when she gives him kisses and will say Abbie, of course not as clear or as much when the camera is going.

Swimming Gage

In June, Gage went to Logan, UT with Mom and Dad to support Dad in a Police Shooting Competition. Gage is very proud of his Dad because he is placed on the "Governor's Top 20" list which shows that Dad is one of the 20 best shooters in Utah. Mom shot, too, and had fun with that and placed 6th out of the 16 women shooting there. However, she was glad to get back to Gage when she was done. Gage got to have the adventure of staying in a hotel and being able to go swimming for the first time. He loved swimming in his innertube in the big pool and being able to jump in the pool with dad and splashing around. His funnest adventure was being able to walk around the kiddy pool on his own.

Gage's 1st Birthday

Gage celebrated his first birthday. He played in the water at a Splash Park, opened wonderful gifts, and got to play in his cake!

Gage's first trip to the ZOO!!

Gage got to visit the zoo for his first birthday and he loved every second of it. He talked to the animals and wanted to get down and play with them--makes his mom so proud!!
