Christmas 2013

Another great holiday and winter season!! So many new things that Aubree could enjoy...shoveling, building a snowman, sledding, "Elf on a Shelf", and opening presents! She loved shoveling with Gage and playing in the snow, but she wasn't too fond of sledding. Gage helped Aubree understand the meaning and enjoyment of the "Elf on the Shelf" as well as the spirit of Christmas. Gage asked for Skylander Swap Force and characters to go with it, Aubree asked for a vacuum because she loves to help clean up! What great kids who are so good!!

She loves to read

First tooth lost, so many more to go!

Gage was so very excited when he finally got a loose tooth and even more excited when it came out a week later!!  He got a letter from the tooth fairy and $5!!  He can't wait for the rest of his teeth to get loose and fall out.

Gage had such a fun time in soccer and is becoming so much better each game.  He's being very active, but his favorite position is goalie!!  He was goalie, twice and he made sure the other team did not score when he was goalie.

Little Learner

Aubree loves to learn and is always excited to read books and play on the ipad--she has learned how to control everything on her own and where to find books that she loves to listen to.  She loves how she can even watch Tangled, her favorite movie on it!!

Aubree's First Day of School

It's another year at Riverton High as a Silverpup!!  She wasn't too excited when we got there, but I know as the day and year goes on, she will be so happy to have new toys to play with, new books to read, friends to play with...she'll love it!

And she's so smart and eager to learn...plus, she hears me counting to Gage to get him moving all the time!!

Gage is always making me laugh with his crazy thoughts....
    He wants to ask Santa to bring Grandpa a dog because Grandpa's other dog died and he needs a new one to keep him company.
    He was taking a math facts test and said he passed it and wanted to finish right after his friend who sits next to him, and that his friend is really good and finished the math test without having to look at anybody else's paper!  (We learned about cheating that day)
 
That boy is always making me laugh!  I love how his mind is always turning.

A day at the Bees Game

Gage is the best big brother ever!!  He is always helping Aubree out with so many things, playing with her, and making sure she is always happy.  He helps her put her shoes on, gives her piggy back rides, and reads to her!  No wonder that girl adores him so much!

Aubree has quite the personality!  She is very happy most of the time, but she does get frustrated with things and is not afraid to show her feelings!  I love it!!

Aubree's Calling...

Aubree is so inquisitive and pays attention to things everybody does, and then does it herself...jumping off the couch, reading a book, playing the computer, and talking on the phone.  Love this girl!!

And we went to Scheels for the first time...won't be buying anything there, but it's a fun place to spend time and make an adventure out of it.

1st Grade...Already?!

I can't believe that my boy is already in first grade!! He is so excited, but I'm so nervous because it's all day, he needs to eat lunch, and open a milk carton--I hope he handles it well. He loves having Ms. Wilcox and is so ready to be all grown up. Aubree wishes she could go with him!!

Kindergarten Graduation

Gage has completed kindergarten, and the first year of his road to a great education and future!!  He absolutely loved having Mrs. Thayer.  He has improved on his math and reading skills so much, and made so many great friends.  He loves school, even though his favorite part is recess, he did enjoy the other things in between!  He is so ready and excited to start first grade....

Dancing Aubree

Weird Kids!

Aubree is sure got a personality all of her own!  She likes to make people laugh, including herself, but she also loves to laugh at everybody--especially her brother!
She is always going around smiling and laughing and talking in her own language.
Gage is always wanting to make everybody laugh and smile, too.  He is very creative in many of the things he says and the faces he makes.

Gage is 6 years old!!

Where does the time go?!  I can't believe that Gage is 6 years old already!  He has been such a wonderful blessing and gift to our family and it's wonderful to see him grow in so many ways!  His sense of humor is the best and he gets funnier each day.  He is definitely the class clown!  He is also doing so well in school, and I hope he continues to do so well.  He is great with reading and excellent in math!!
He's happy all the time and loves to try so many new things, he is very creative and makes friends wherever he goes!
His favorite foods are:  Hot dog on a stick, noodles with cheese on top, grilled cheese, french toast, and of course--chicken nuggets from Mcdonalds!
His favorite color is green, his favorite number is 100, and his favorite songs are:  We're Not Gonna Take It, Red Solo Cup, and Beers Ago.  He loves Toby Keith and many 80's rock bands!  He loves to play video games:  Mario games and Skylanders, Batman Lego, and is very good at these.
He says he wants to be a Construction Worker when he gets older so he can make things like roads and houses!

Bike Riding

Gage isn't too excited about riding his bike, he keeps thinking that he will fall down, even though he knows he won't!  But we have been practicing, and he has it, hopefully he will find some fun in it!

Zoo Field Trip

Gage's kindergarten class went on a trip to the zoo, and this was one I wasn't going to miss!!  I'm so glad I went; it was so much fun to see Gage's class and how he interacts with them and makes friends.

Soccer time

Gage absolutely loves playing soccer, he doesn't get right in the group and play...more so runs around the group and waits for the ball to come out so he can kick it.  Which is fine by me, as long as he plays and has fun!  He can't wait for the next season to start!!

Family Pictures

I can't believe how fast time goes...and we are doing family pictures again and how fast my kiddos grow up. Aubree is really a happy girl who is laughing and smiling all the time, but she didn't feel up to having a stranger take her picture.  Gage, however, is always willing to be the center of attention.

Aubree is now 17 months, climbing on everything, into everything, and just a joy to have in our family.  Her favorite thing to do is play with the cats and dog, and thankfully they are very tolerant of her and her jumping and pulling of ears and tails.  She loves going for walks and seeing animals everywhere.
She is talking a bit more...her favorite word is "Shoes" because she loves shoes on her feet all the time!  She also loves shopping for shoes.  She loves to say "kitty, Gage, Mom, Daddy, ball, bubble, more, and done."  She is also very good at pointing out what she wants you do help her with--which is usually handing her some treat or helping her climb on something.

Gage is almost 6 and is very happy to be in kindergarten, making friends, and playing all the time!  He's loves his little sister and they play together all the time!

My Dancing Princess

Aubree is very into dancing and loves to watch her brother dance and people on tv dance and she attempts to do the same exact move. She's pretty good at this, too, so she will really do well in a dance class when she gets older.

This year has been an amazing year for Gage with his first year of school almost underway.  He has loved kindergarten and Mrs. Thayer.  He is always happy and eager to go to school and has been learning so many things and improved on his reading in so many ways.  He also got to read at kindergarten orientation to show parents about to have a kindergartner what kindergarten is all about!
