A little side note...

For all those who really know me, I am allergic hot dogs. I even tell my students the story about how I found out I was allergic to hot dogs and they remember it all year and let me know when hot dogs are for lunch that day; they even tell future students.



I always said that I would never feed my own child hot dogs because I HATE, HATE, HATE hot dogs...they are skunk meat and road kill. However, how could one say no to Gage?! He just has to look at you and you give him pretty much whatever he wants--I also give him whatever I want quite often, too!



So, since he has been dog food once, and thinks he still is dog food...




and that he enjoys pretty much all meat, just like his dad--but he also really, really likes cheese...I figured I could compromise as long as I still don't have to eat one.

Pure Entertainment!!

Gage is getting close to talking--where everyone can understand him, not just his mom!!--but he loves impersonating all the funny sounds he hears everywhere...the ones his dad makes and the ones he hears on his tv shows. This clip is Gage watching Little Einsteins and loving the sounds the cartoon is making and the movements that go with it. Unfortunately, he is too enthralled and entertained to be making the sounds while I'm recording him, but he is laughing and doing the head shaking the show is doing. He does, however, make the sounds all day long!
There is one video and three pictures, you click on the channel changing knob to switch pictures-go slow because the "fuzz" screen goes on right before the picture comes up!

Hair Cut

I wanted to try and grow Gage's hair out a bit to see how it would go. I really think some boys with longer hair are quite cute--if it goes right. Unfortunately, Gage has his mother's hair, so it is thick and curly so it looks like a mop is on his head and it just doesn't go down because it is going every which way. So...I finally had to go and get it cut. This is his third hair cut in his 17 months and will probably need another one in a month or so. This hair cut went quite well, he didn't freak out when the lady had to buzz his hair--he usually is screaming and trying to climb out of the chair, this time he just sat there and watched his movie...until the lady started to blow dry the cut hair away-he did not like that!
But, Katie, you asked for before and after pictures of his hair. I'm glad I cut it because I can see Gage again!!
He's happy we cut his hair, too, because he likes when I put gel in it to style it.
