The End of Summer

Well, Gage only has a few more days until school starts, so we really had to make these days count!!
We had a great summer full of fun and exciting new adventures--swimming, new parks were found, Dinosaur Park, Dinosaur Museum, the zoo, seeing his school friends for a back to school party, playing with great friends, making crafts, and having the time of our lives with all of it!!

Family Pictures 7/10

We had a wonderful time with a new photographer, Abbey Kyhl, who is amazing at photography in every way! She had the idea for the spot and the colors/clothes to wear.
We went up to the Odgen Train Station, in which Gage was intimidated at first because he's never seen trains so big. But he warmed up quickly and we got some of the cutest pictures I've ever seen!! Oh, how cute this boy is!

Arts and Crafts

We have spent the last 2 months having craft time at the craft store, once a week they make a new crafts with kids.
Gage has enjoyed going and every week was more excited to go and make something. Although I made the majority of the craft...he was so proud of the finished project and loved calling it his own! Great quality time together.
He made a treasure box, some canvas paintings, a dino mobile, and his favorite was the robot!!

The Best of Friends

Gage has one of the greatest friends ever!! Samantha has been around since Gage has been born and they are the best of friends. It's wonderful to watch them play so well together. When I say that we are going to do something with Samantha, it's the highlight of Gage's week! Thank you Samantha for being such a great friend to Gage!!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Gage!

I can't believe my baby boy is already 3 years old!! It's amazing to think how much he has grown in these three years. To go from being a little baby to being a big boy that uses the "potty", talking, running, riding a bike, reading, counting, and having quite the imagination and a big heart!!
I love this boy so much and he makes my whole world complete!! Every day gets better and every day is a new adventure with him.

Random things

Gage and I are so excited to have some time off from school so we can spend a lot of time together and have some adventures! We have our weekly schedule of learning, crafts, art, and field trips planned to keep us busy and happy!

We had some sad news with having to lose our cat. Hopefully she's being taken care of and it is hard to deal with, our little family misses her dearly. We did go to the shelter and get a new kitten who looks and acts a lot like her, so we still have a bit of her running around our home. Our other cat is adjusting to a new baby in the house who is wanting so dearly to play with her. Gage and Abbie have really taken to this kitten and love her playfulness.

Happy Father's Day!

Gage has the greatest father in the world! He loves everything about him and loves when he is home to play with him. He is so much like his dad--being the class clown, doing certain things-like wearing his shoes on the wrong feet-just because he gets a reaction out of someone, and always loving to be outside doing something, are some of the many ways he is so much like his dad. I couldn't ask for a better son, and couldn't ask for a better father for him.

Trip to the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo and Gage was so happy to go!
There were only a few animals he really wanted to see because he really enjoyed just running around the zoo, until it came time to ride the train!! Oh, that was a trip. We had to go twice and even that wasn't enough.
Now he talks about going back to the zoo to ride the "twain". Every time I say let's go somewhere to see a friend of his, he'll ask if they're going to the zoo with us to ride the "twain".

Play Room Decorating

Last year we finshed our basement and I was going to make it into my office/craft room/guest room...well, being how I am, I of course had time to really think my plan over and change it!! I was going to spend my summer re-decorating Gage's room, but when I went in to plan it out, it wasn't working the way I wanted it to. So, I went back to the drawing board and remembered my empty, orange room and thought...that would be a great play room! So, I wipped out my Cricut and decorated my little heart out!!




Yet Gage does have some great walls from my wonderful Cricut, too!!

The robots are coming

Being that summer is near, there are a lot of thunderstorms rolling through our area lately. Thunderstorms have never bothered Gage before, but he was only a baby when they came through before. So now that he is very aware of everything going on around him, he paid a bit more attention to the sounds of the storms.
When he heard the first bit of the thunder rolling through, he said, "Oh no, robots are out there!" I told him that it's thunder not robots and it's all outside, he said, "no thunder or robots in here!"
Now when it starts to rain, he wants to go outside still, but every now and then, he'll worry about the robots coming inside.

What a sweetie!!

Gage is very much like his mother in the fact that he has a very large sweet tooth! If it's got sugar in it, it's in our hand ready to be eaten!! Gage also has quite the imagination and sense of humor! Oh, how I love this boy!!
