What a Week!

We had an eventful week with Gage and him being hurt. He loves climbing on the bed and running around and I try and catch him if it looks like he gets too close to the edge or posts, but this time I didn't get their quite fast enough and he banged his teeth right into the end post and left some teeth marks to prove it.
Gage also loves to play by the windows and look out, unfortunately one window he can look out is right by the dog dishes. Gage has played around the dogs eating before and Buddy has growled a time or two, but has never reacted any other way and we make Gage leave while they eat. This instance, Gage's foot slipped into Buddy's bowl and Buddy reacted on instinct rather than thought and bit Gage's foot quite badly. He can only imagine how lucky he is to be alive, but he does feel very, very sorry about hurting Gage. It wasn't a fun trip to the doctor to get the three very deep cuts cleaned and stitched up, I had to leave the room because it was too much for me to handle with seeing him cry and hearing him scream. You could hear him scream throughout the entire doctor's office.
Fortunately, Gage didn't even realize it was Buddy that hurt him because he laughed when the dogs came running inside to see him and didn't flinch when Buddy came up to him that night or the next morning while Gage was eating breakfast.
He wobbles around for now because of the bandages, but he is a brave little guy and doesn't scream or cry when he gets his bandages changed or anything.
I'm hoping this is the only time or at least one of the very few times we'll have stitches and there will be no casts for the future because I'm not sur how much more I can handle! His doctor shots are bad enough for me!!

That is soooo SCARY! I can't imagine what I would do!?! I think that the visit to the hospital would have just made me break down. I know that it is inevitable, but I think it will be very hard when it actually happens. The doctors may think that I am the patient because I will be crying harder than Dawson. Those pictures are really gross!

Wow!! Buddy got him good didn't he? I'm sorry it's been such a rough week for you guys. :( Were you home alone for both instances?
