Happy Birthday Gage!!

Wow! How time flies!! I can still remember getting his one year birthday together, and here I am getting his two year birthday ready! So much has changed since Gage turned one. He is walking and running everywhere, he has to do everything on his own--feeding, drinking, getting his toys, brushing his teeth, getting a bath/shower, feeding his fish, cleaning his room, getting in the car (which he tries to drive), as well as telling everyone what they should say and do--Mom, look, the meow, go pet the meow (he calls animals by the sounds they make, other than Abbie and Buddy); Momma, come here, look outside; Momma, I want to play outside--he'll go open the door and wave for me to come out with him; Momma, want to play on the slide-which we'll walk to the park, I of course follow him.
He's also into making sure that all the other kids around him are behaving and listening, too. He'll play with one of the boys in the neighborhood every now and then, and Landon will run far ahead of us and Gage will be yelling, "Landon, uh-oh, come back. Momma, car, there is a car. Landon, come back!"
He'll also boss the kids around to make sure they go down the slide, go up the stairs, etc. What a little leader!!
He's talking like crazy and repeating every word and sound he hears. He will also sing any song he thinks is good and really get the rhythm and melody just right. He's very musical and I can't wait to start him on the piano!! His favorite songs are Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, Baby Bumble Bee, ABCs-which he'll sing every time he sees a group of letters together, he sings his vowels when he sees the letter A or E, he also loves the songs from Momma Mia, Mother Goose songs, and his favorite is Kid Rock's All Summer Long. (I'll tape him singing all these soon!)
It's been wonderful to see him grow up and become a little boy! He thinks he's five and is learning so much. He knows his colors, some letters, he can count to five on his own and to ten with help, he knows his shapes, all kinds of transportation and animals, and how to get around town and where to find the candy and the Icees. I could go on forever with how much he has learned in just a year and how much more he will learn in the year to come!
His favorite movie and songs to listen to is CARS, the opening song gets him all happy and singing away. There's a part in the middle where the song goes, UHHH, which is his favorite part and why he calls Lightning McQueen "UHHH."

That make sense now as to why there are so many toys! That kid is spoiled!! I am impressed with how you are getting him to know so much. Dawson won't even say Momma when I want him to.
