We are so lucky, happy, and blessed to have the most amazing little girl become part of our family!
She was a surprise from the beginning and even came a little earlier than expected, but she is perfect and healthy, so we are very happy!!
The pregnancy meant a lot of sickness for mom and brushing my teeth was next to impossible every morning, and she was sitting low and spreading out constantly made every bone and muscle ache in my body, so it wasn't as easy of a pregnancy as Gage, but the end result made it worth it.
On a Sunday night, around 10:30, I started having a weird heartburn feeling that wasn't going away or getting an easier to bear. I tried to get comfortable anddo things the doctor said, like take a shower, get a drink of water, walk around, etc. It only got worse, so I woke Ray up and tried to decide if it was real and we should go to the hospital, or if it really was just bad heartburn. We finally decided to go wake Gage up at 11:30 and head to the hospital.
When I got there, I was dilated to a 1 and my blood pressure was extremely high and oxygen was quite low. So they drew some blood, called the doctor and waited to see what was going on. When the test results came back, they said my liver was having issues and I had the beginnings of preclampsia. The doctor said that he would be in first thing in the morning to do the C-section and I was going to have a baby. Thankfully, through all this, Aubree's heart beat and everything were fine, so none of this stuff with me was effecting her at all.
After she was born, I also became anemic, so I was all kinds of messed up, but thankfully was able to take care of my baby and she was healthy.
She's a happy baby that loves to snuggle. She really only cries when she's hungry and needs a diaper changed--which is quite often!! She loves to watch everything that is going on and has a wonderful big brother who is constantly asking about her and wanting to hold her and be with her as much as possible!
