Aubree's First Birthday
I can't believe that my baby girl is already 1!! How did she get so big...thankfully, she's still really tiny! She is an active little girl that rarely stops moving and talking and trying to be a big girl that needs to keep up with her big brother.
She has been walking for two months now, and is trying to run places now. She loves music, in which her favorite song is by Toby Keith because her big brother loves it so. He taught her how to sing and dance to it in the car. She does love listening to any kind of music and shakes her booty to the rhythm!
She is not a very picky eater, and will at least try the food put in front of her. If she doesn't like it, or is done eating it, she willingly shares with Abbie. Her favorite foods are fruit, especially watermelon and apples. But she does eat cheeseburgers and fries, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and lots of other foods. She is also very addicted to chocolate (M and M's are her favorite) and Coke--thanks to me!
She loves to go places and do new things, and even loves shopping and feeling all the new clothes, hair accessories, and shoes. She will lift up her feet to put her shoes or slippers on because she loves them so.
Her favorite thing to do is read books! Love it! She pulls books off Gage's book shelves and her book shelves and brings them to us to read them to her. Or she will often sit for a bit to read it herself.
She loves to talk and communicate in a language that is all hers, but pretty easy to understand. When she is hungry or thirsty, she points to what she wants and says, "NANANA." She may even bring you the cup or bottle to give her a drink. When she wants to play, she will go around talking gibberish and saying, "DADADA." And when she's frustated or getting tired, she will yell, "MAMAMAMA!" She does scream now and then when she's excited or upset, and there are times she will even go around singing.
Aubree is a wonderful girl and it is so exciting to see all that she learns and does. It will be another great year to see what else she does.
