I had my ultrasound on Friday, Sept 2. I was so nervous to go because I was so hoping for a girl, but had a feeling it may be a boy. I would love the baby either way, don't get me wrong, but I always dreamed of having 1 boy and 1 girl...and I imagined it being the boy first so he could play the "big brother" role.
Well, the ultrasound tech was looking and poking around, and saying that I may have broken her streak for the last two weeks!! I asked what that streak was, and she said they were all boys. I almost screamed! I'm asked her if she was saying it's a girl?! The baby wasn't wanting to outwardly show, unlike Gage who was dancing all around in my tummy showing the world what he had!! But she got a pretty good shot that made it appear that nothing was really there!!
The tech tried to get a few more shots, but this little one was quite shy and crossing her legs and putting her hand down in front of her. But she felt confident that it was a girl, and I feel confident about it, too!! So heaven help me when everything is planned down to a "t" if it turns out otherwise.
But everything else went well and she is measuring well and is very healthy in every organ. The tech also got a great foot shot and her big toe is sticking out a little from the other ones, which is exactly like Gage's! I think I enjoyed that almost more than finding out it's a girl. A monkey foot just like her big brother!!
We are very excited and feel very lucky and blessed to have gotten the chance to have this baby come into our lives, and lucky to have a boy and a girl in our family. Gage is very excited to become a big brother, especially to a sister! I can't wait to see all he has to teach her and how cute they will be playing together. I hope her first word is "Gage" because he will be the perfect big brother!!

Eek!! I'm still so excited for you guys. I love that her big toe sticks out like Gage's and that you were excited about that. Gage will be a great big brother to a sister. :)
That is so cool. Congratulations ! I hope one day I will have a girl. We only have one girl in our family and I am the only hope for kids now on my side of the family.
